EXTREME MAKEOVER II

Filed under: News — Wistari @ 1:15 pm

Kanimbla arrived home safe and sound from her Brisbane Refit on Monday 11th February. She was then provisioned and left on her 1st Charter of 2008.

Sadly, a “little drop of rain”thwarted a visit to the Coral Sea, but at least a boat is the best place to be in a flood!

So what does she look like?????????????

Adam has been with us for 6yrs and Deb 3yrs repectively; sadly they have decided to  abandon us! but we forgive them  and  wish them fair seas and good fortune. However, Adam may come back to us in 2008 so lets cross fingers!

If any of our passengers would like pass on their congratulations to Adam & Deb you can do so via the comments section below… and we will pass them on at the wedding where Bruce will be MC.

Update:  It was a great day! The wedding was held over looking the water at Cleveland in Brisbane …and of course the happy couple looked radiant!

Apologies

Filed under: News — Wistari @ 3:13 pm

It certainly has been a long time between drinks…or posts actually. However I do have a fairly good excuse. The residence and office of Kanimbla Charters has been having a make over and we had to move out and stay in alternate accomodation. Sadly, we only had dail-up internet and could not upload any info/images to this site.

But we are home again and I have a nice new office with highspeed broadband access! Yipee! Here’s my old office & new office.

Plea for Writers / Polo Shirts

Filed under: News — Wistari @ 7:11 pm

In a lame attempt at an excuse, I would like to plead creative exhaustion. I am running out of superlatives / adjectives for your fish- great, magnificent, stunning…etc..etc.

Whilst all the fellows have been pulling in the big fish, none have offered (except BruceR) to write a post- after all, you were there and I’m sure there must be some great tales I never hear about. (of course we can’t transgress the “what happens at sea stays at sea” rule).

So again, I ‘m sending out the invitation to tell your story. You can contribute by emailing a ‘Word’ document -x500 or so words in length is ideal. Alternatively a standard letter is just fine and I can transcribe it to this site.

Even if you feel that you are no Hemingway, you are always welcome to add your comments to each post.

So I’ll get busy posting the last few weeks of Trip Reports and you get busy writing too!

Patched Up Patched & Painted New Props

A last minute touch-up of the paintwork, the laying of the new upstairs carpet, the arrival of new cushions and a mighty clean up at the last hour has Kanimbla ready for her 1st charter for 2006- BON VOYAGE!
